Clip Reel: Jodie Meeks

Jodie Meeks had the highest single-game SEC scoring performance since 1989 last night.

What is "Clip Reel?"

Next week, in our "Fan Issue," there will be a video featuring 4th-grade students in Kentucky talking about the Cats.

Was anyone else surprised that the single-game UK scoring record, until last night, was held by Dan Issel? We had it pegged to Walker, Delk, Prince et al. Surprising. Now, though, it's Jodie Meeks and as a result, it's time to take a deeper look at the baller.

He has an official website. He also has a decently detailed Wiki considering he's a junior in college. Here's his Scout.Com profile. Ah, his official UK profile. "Jodie Meeks: Exceeding Expectations." Here he is scoring 46 points against App. State. Here he is torching K-State in Las Vegas. 27 first-half points vs. TSU. Nice jam versus Arkansas. Here are some highlights from last night's 54-point performance. Here are some additional highlights of that game. Some clips from "Big Blue Madness" featuring Meeks. Short 2008-2009 preview has some Meeks moments on it. Does Meeks kinda remind you of this? Get yourself a Jodie Meeks MySpace layout. Speaking of which, this might be Meeks' own MySpace page, in which his personal quote is simply "The Truth." It's cool that a newspaper has a feature called "The Slophouse," isn't it? Lots of Meeks content can be found off this link, too.
