ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The New York Yankees will wear two arm patches to recognize the passings of former principal owner George M. Steinbrenner III and longtime public address announcer Bob Sheppard.

They'll also wear this Bob Sheppard patch.

The 80-year-old Steinbrenner died Tuesday of a heart attack. Sheppard, the voice of Yankee Stadium from 1951 to 2007, passed away Sunday. He was 99.

The team announced the Steinbrenner commemorative patch will be worn above the interlocking "NY" on the left breast of the Yankees' home jerseys, and above the letters "YORK" on the left breast of the Yankees' road uniforms. Both locations are over the heart.

The Sheppard commemorative patch will be worn on the left sleeve of the Yankees' home and road jerseys.

On Tuesday night for the All-Star Game, manager Joe Girardi, the Yankees' players and the Yankees' coaches wore black armbands on their left sleeves in honor of Steinbrenner.
