Kenny Wayne Shepherd's team lived up to its name as Team Re-Domination took over sole possession of first place in the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League by defeating Jerry Cantrell's JC Aroma Of Tacoma 85-73 last week.

But Re-Domination's (5-2-1) overall lead is a slim half-game because some late NFL statistical changes switched his victory in Week 7 to a tie with Matt Willig's Halfway Clueless (1-5-2).

Willig, the defending champion, issued a warning on the league message board to any opponent who takes his last-place team lightly the rest of the way:

Costly Win
Giving Up????

Aroma Of Tacoma, meanwhile, fell into a three-way tie for second with Meat Loaf's Hell In A Handbasket and Scott Ian's Fear And Loathing (all with 5-3 records). And league founder Cantrell faces another tough game this week, going up against Ian.

Right behind them vying for the four playoff spots are Zakk Wylde's Team Doom Crew Inc. (4-3-1), Duff McKagan's Team Loaded (4-4) and Mike Inez's M.I. Evil? (4-4).

Participants in the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League will each put one valuable item up for auction by the end of the season. The league champion will get to designate which charity receives the proceeds of the auction. More details on the auction will be announced in the coming weeks.

Weekly updates on the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League, trash talk and interviews with the owners will be published in ESPN.com's The Life and Music sections throughout the season. Members of the league also will drop by for occasional chats on SportsNation.
