Two fantasy football rookies, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Matt Willig, will face off in the two-week championship in the Alice in Chains & Friends charity league.

Shepherd's The KWS Domination dropped Vinnie Paul's Team The Brickwall 214-171 and Willig's Calabasas Clueless (9-5) dumped Zakk Wylde Doom Crew Inc. 229-198 in the two-week semifinals.

Now they are going head-to-head in an attempt to benefit their chosen charity with the proceeds from an auction of items donated by all 10 members of the Alice in Chains & Friends Fantasy Football Charity League. The auction is slated to begin the first or second week of the new year.

KWS Domination has had a better season (11-3, including playoffs), but Willig, of course, has the experience of a 12-year NFL career as an offensive lineman in his favor.

Both owners made proud posts on the league's message board earlier this week and here is a sample:

I wanna win this thing fa sho, BUT I also know I'm David up against Goliath! How did we let KWS land Manning AND Peterson? That's just not right. I think he should spot me 40 pts to make it even.

THANK YOU, Jerry for allowing me to join this exclusive group. It was a much less painful deal than I thought it would be … and actually made the season fun for me to watch. You get a little jaded after playing the game for a while. I had a blast playin' this with the ROCKERS (I'm a big fan of all your music).

Thanks, Scott, for the emails and the shoutout earlier in the season. You didn't know me but you threw my name out to the public with LOBO and it definitely got a blog reaction (apparently people on the web think I'm really ugly). Thanks, fellas

(I've got no chance)

Well, well, well … here we are, boys. It's been one hell of a season. I gotta tell you, being a newbie at this FF game, I had no idea how the season would play out. It's been a hell of a ride and now we are in the Super Bowl.

I have enjoyed watching everyone's team's performance each week. It's also been a learning process watching everyone make their player acquisitions. Matt, I don't know how you did it, but you've got three guys on your team that are ALL ranked No. 1 in their respective positions (actually Vernon Davis just got bumped this week to No. 2).

If you check the pregame box prediction, you are favored to win. Now, don't mistake that comment for a concession from the Domination because I don't give up like that, and neither do my boys on my team. As a matter of fact, I remember checking the predictions one week that had me favored to win and I wound up losing to Mike with a paltry 53 points that week, so obviously anything can happen.

Yes, Peyton is my boy, but I think I could be in some trouble with him and Reggie Wayne because no one can make a call as to whether or not they will start or play a full game in the next couple of weeks. That's a real problem considering how your boy Aaron Rogers has been racking up the points every week.

I guess we'll just have to see how it all plays out. I really want to win for my charity, and I'm sure you do, too.

Good luck to you. I'd say "MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN", but we all know which team that is … just look at the record!!!!
