Jazz sign free agent forward Ruffin
SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Jazz added free-agent Michael Ruffin to their roster Wednesday by signing him to a one-year deal.
Ruffin, a 6-foot-8 forward who played in Spain last season, was part of the Jazz's Rocky Mountain Revue team last month and averaged 5.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in seven games.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ruffin was drafted in the second round by Chicago in 1999 after averaging 9.4 points and 9.5 rebounds in four years at Tulsa. He has played in the NBA for the Bulls and Philadelphia.
Ruffin is the third addition to the Jazz in a week. Utah picked up forward Keon Clark in a trade with Sacramento on Tuesday and re-signed backup point guard Carlos Arroyo last week to a one-year deal.
