Pistons C Rebraca undergoes heart surgery
Rebraca, who is expected to join the team for the start training camp in October, had the procedure performed by Dr. Fred Morady at the University of Michigan Hospital.
The 7-foot, 257-pound Rebraca averaged 6.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 30 games with the Pistons last season, including 12 starts. He was diagnosed with the irregular heartbeat in early January and the ailment forced him to miss 50 games.
A native of Yugoslavia, Rebraca posted averages of 6.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 74 games with Detroit as a rookie during the 2001-02 season.
