Former Louisiana Tech standout hired as Lady Trojan assistant
LITTLE ROCK -- A former point guard at Louisiana Tech has been hired as an assistant coach with the women's basketball program at Arkansas-Little Rock.
Brooke Lassiter comes to the Lady Trojans after one season as a graduate assistant with the Florida State women's basketball program. Her duties there included helping coach the team's guards, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits, arranging preseason individual conditioning workouts, coordinating film exchange and co-directing summer basketball camps.
"Brooke is a tremendous addition to our coaching staff. I am very excited to have her as part of our program," head coach Joe Foley said.
Lassiter, a Portland, Ark., native, was a two-year captain at perennial power Louisiana Tech, where she was a starter for four seasons.
