Freshman sophomore Mukubu injured
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas sophomore forward Wenbos Mukubu strained a quadriceps muscle in his left leg and will be sidelined for up to six weeks.
Mukubu sustained the injury Monday while running, coach Stan Heath said.
"It was a freak thing. I feel for him because he's worked extremely hard. He's gained weight, he's gained strength, he's improved his game," Heath said.
Freshmen cannot practice until classes begin Monday, so the team is left with eight players in the interim.
Arkansas plays four exhibition games in Mexico Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
The team had its first practice Tuesday, and had two practices Wednesday.
