Golden Eagles to play LSU the next two seasons

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Mississippi and LSU have agreed to play each other in basketball each of the next two seasons.

Southern Miss announced the two-game series with LSU on Monday.

The Golden Eagles and Tigers will play Dec. 20 in Baton Rouge, La., at the 14,164-seat Maravich Center.

The second game of the series will be played at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi in the 2004-2005 season. The teams last played in 1989.

The complete 2003-2004 Southern Miss schedule will be released later.
