Albany, N.Y. 64, St. Peter's 9
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Gary Jones rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns as Albany beat St. Peter's 64-9 Saturday.
Albany (3-2) reversed an early 3-0 deficit on six consecutive possessions in the first half. The Great Danes finished the half with a 36-3 advantage after scoring runs by Eddie Unverzagt (1 yard) and Jon George (10 yards). Jason Miller connected with Uli Delgado on a 57-yard scoring pass at 8:51 in the second quarter.
Albany dominated in the second half with scoring runs from Rohann Vidal (4 yards) and David Fantell (14 yards). Brian Becker intercepted a pass by Andre Harris and ran 55 yards for a touchdown at 14:49 of the fourth quarter, bringing the score to 50-3. Jermaine Lee closed out the scoring with a 20-yard fumble recovery.
Harris gave the Peacocks (0-6) their only touchdown with a 14-yard run at 7:52 of the final quarter.
The Great Danes rolled up 442 total yards, including 305 on the ground.
Harris completed 12 of 24 passes for 171 yards. Steven Taylor had seven passes for 98 yards for St. Peter's.
