OMAHA, Neb. -- Brian Masek threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third Saturday to lead Nebraska at Omaha over South Dakota State 34-17.
Masek connected with Ryan Krause on a 5-yard scoring pass and later hit Thadd Recek with a 3-yard TD pass. Masek scored on a 1-yard run for the Mavericks (5-1, 2-0 North Central Conference) who are ranked No. 10 in NCAA Division II.
South Dakota State's Brad Nelson completed 21-of-31 for 224 yards and two interceptions. Nelson connected with Brian Janecek for a 30-yard scoring play before the Jackrabbits (2-3, 0-2) headed into the half down 10-7.
Masek completed 17-of-22 for 158 passing yards.
