CROOKSTON, Minn. -- Luon Spearman rushed for 285 yards, breaking a Minnesota-Crookston single-game rushing record, and scored three touchdowns to lead the Golden Eagles past Southwest State 49-14 Saturday.

Crookston's Jay Schreiber made three interceptions, breaking a school single-game interception record. The Golden Eagles are now 2-4 and 1-2 in the NSIC.

Jason Simmons rushed for one touchdown and threw another for Crookston.

Rob Fagnan had a rough day for the Mustangs (2-4, 0-3) as he was intercepted four times and sacked five times by the Golden Eagle defense. Fagnan rushed for one touchdown and completed 17 of 31 passes, finishing with 172 yards passing.
