Nebraska-Kearney 23, Adams State 17

KEARNEY, Neb. -- Pat Korth threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Nebraska-Kearney over Adams State 23-17.

Korth hit Garth Mins with an 8-yard scoring pass in the second quarter and connected with Richie Ross on a 65-yard TD pass in the third.

Jessup Pfeifer added a 38-yard field goal for UNK (3-2, 2-1 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference), sending the teams into halftime tied at 10. Pfeifer later added field goals of 38 and 23 yards.

Adams State's Scott Coxon hit Brandon Tinsley with a 6-yard scoring pass and also ran in a 43-yard score for the Grizzlies (2-3, 1-2). Coxon went 7-of-13 for 148 yards with 64 yards rushing.

The UNK defense collected five turnovers.
