Idaho State QB Hetherington among I-AA Players of the Week
JERSEY CITY, New Jersey - Idaho State quarterback Mark Hetherington, who engineered an overtime victory over Eastern Washington, was among the ESPN/USA Today Division I-AA Players of the Week named on Monday.
Hetherington completed 22-of-41 passes for 386 yards and five touchdowns in a 55-52 triumph over Eastern Washington.
Cal Poly linebacker Jordan Beck and Rhode Island kicker Shane Laisle were named Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
Beck had 23 tackles, including 10 solo stops, in a 17-14 loss to Montana.
Laisle tied a 29-year-old school record with a 50-yard field goal and dropped five of six punts inside the 20-yard line in a 27-9 win overBrown.
