CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears running back Rabih Abdullah was hospitalized and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a car accident Tuesday, police said.
State trooper Angelo Mollo said Abdullah's sport utility vehicle rolled over on Interstate 94 in Northbrook. Mollo wouldn't disclose the player's blood-alcohol level.
Abdullah sustained a concussion and will remain hospitalized until at least Wednesday, the team said.
Abdullah joined the Bears as a free agent last season, and plays mostly on special teams.
