Hallen joins Chargers list of hurt linemen
SAN DIEGO -- The number of offensive linemen clogging the San Diego Chargers' injured reserve list grew Wednesday when guard Bob Hallen was ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn chest muscle.
Hallen was hurt Sunday, when the Chargers lost 27-21 to Jacksonville to fall to 0-5.
Last month, tackle Vaughn Parker was put on IR with a knee injury on. Prior to the start of the season, guard Toniu Fonoti was put on IR after being slowed with arm and feet injuries.
With Hallen joining the list, the Chargers are hopeful Solomon Page can return for their next game, Oct. 19 in Cleveland. Page has missed the past two games with an ankle injury.
To fill Hallen's spot on the roster, the team signed former Green Bay offensive lineman David Brandt.
