Cougars linebacker Derting returns to practice on Monday
PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State sophomore linebacker Will Derting will rejoin the team Monday after being suspended following his arrest on a drunken driving charge, coach Bill Doba said.
Derting, 20, the team leader in tackles, will return under a probationary status, Doba said Thursday.
Derting will travel with the No. 12 Cougars to Stanford Oct. 18. His status as a starter is uncertain, Doba said.
Derting was suspended from practices and workouts this week after being cited for driving under the influence Oct. 4 in Pullman.
The Okanogan native has 37 tackles, including six for losses, this season.
