Suspended Cougars' linebacker to return to practice
PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State linebacker Will Derting will rejoin the team Monday after being suspended following his arrest on a drunken driving charge.
Derting, the team's leading tackler, will travel with the No. 12 Cougars to Stanford Oct. 18 but it is uncertain if he will start, coach Bill Doba said Thursday.
Derting was suspended from practices and workouts this week after his driving citation Oct. 4 in Pullman.
The sophomore this season has 37 tackles, including six for losses.
