Wisconsin forward Tucker breaks foot
MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin forward Alando Tucker broke his right foot during a team workout, less than two weeks before the official start of practice.
A school spokesman said Friday that a team orthopedist was evaluating the extent of the injury.
The 6-foot-5-inch sophomore averaged 12 points and 5.9 rebounds last season. He was third on the team in scoring and led all Big Ten freshmen in rebounding.
Tucker also led the Big Ten and established a school record for offensive rebounding with 86 for the season and a 2.69 per game.
The Badgers are scheduled to begin practice Oct. 18, with their first exhibition game Nov. 8.
