Bethune-Cookman 27, Delaware St. 13

DOVER, Del. -- Allen Suber had 14 carries for 149 yards rushing and one touchdown as Bethune-Cookman beat Delaware State 27-13 on Saturday.

Suber also went 7-for-11 passing for 130 yards and threw for a touchdown for the Wildcats (5-1, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). He connected with Eric Reed on a 12-yard pass in the second quarter to give Bethune-Cookman their first score of the game.

Keon Frazier put Delaware State (0-6, 0-2) on the board in the first quarter with a 1-yard run. Minutes later, his 14-yard pass to Thomas Bolden was the Hornets' last score in the game.

Frazier completed 9-of-21 passes for 66 yards, while Bolden finished with five catches for 50 yards.

After a scoreless third quarter, Bethune-Cookman's Rodney Johnson ran 34-yards to score, tying the game at 13.

Brad Lee's 43-yard run with 6:05 left in the fourth quarter put the Wildcats ahead 20-13.

Suber had a 57-yard touchdown run with 1:26 left in the game to give the Wildcats their final score.

Bethune-Cookman had 278 yards rushing and 142 yards passing, while Delaware State had 160 yards on the ground and 66 yards in the air.
