DULUTH, Minn. -- Dave Rufledt rushed for two touchdowns and Tim Battaglia caught two touchdown passes as Minnesota-Duluth beat Wayne State 49-18 Saturday.
Cash Langeness made his first collegiate start as a quarterback for Duluth and on his first play from scrimmage he rushed 69 yards for a touchdown. Duluth (4-2, 2-1 NSIC) was winning 42-0 before Wayne State got on the scoreboard shortly before the second quarter ended.
Brett Edwards threw two touchdown passes and finished with 107 yards passing for Wayne State. The Wildcats are now 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Langeness finished with 114 yards rushing and 16 yards passing.
