North Carolina A&T 28, Morgan St. 21
BALTIMORE -- Randal Rankins threw for 93 yards and two touchdowns as North Carolina A&T beat Morgan State 28-21 on Saturday.
Rankins threw a 6-yard pass to Douglas Brown for the Aggies' first score, then a 16-yard pass to Joshua King to take a 14-0 lead.
North Carolina A&T (5-1, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) had only one score after halftime -- Carl Scriven's 4-yard touchdown run with 12:26 left in the game. Scriven had 36 carries for 43 yards.
Morgan State (2-4, 1-3) was led by LeJo Washington, who completed 9-of-28 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown. He also led the team in rushing with 18 carries for 89 yards and one touchdown -- a 1-yard run with 4:39 left in the third quarter.
Washington connected with Sean Napper -- who caught two passes for 40 yards -- on a 25-yard pass with 3:07 left in the game.
North Carolina A&T led 20-7 at halftime. Yonnic Matthews made two field goals, one from 50 yards out.
