MARSHALL, Minn. -- Joseph Mapson caught 11 passes for 189 yards to help Concordia-St. Paul beat Southwest State 37-19 Saturday.
Chris Washington added two rushing touchdowns and James McNear passed for two touchdowns for the Golden Bears (5-1, 4-0 NSIC).
David Whitten had a career-high 188 yards rushing on 32 carries for Southwest State (2-5, 0-4). He scored a touchdown in the second quarter on a 22-yard run.
Southwest State outrushed Concordia 197 yards to 142. Concordia had 100 more yards in the air than the Mustangs. Southwest State also possessed the ball for almost 17 more minutes than Concordia.
McNear finished with 248 yards passing and nine yards rushing for the Golden Bears.
