ENMU QB named Lone Star-South offensive player of week

PORTALES, N.M. -- Eastern New Mexico quarterback Steven Hinson has been named offensive player of the week for the Lone Star Conference's southern division.
Hinson rushed for 135 yards, threw for 142 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in the Greyhounds' 31-0 victory Saturday over Angelo State.
The 5-9 and 170-pound junior is from Olney, Texas.
Quarterbacks Cliff Watkins of Tarleton State and Drew Beard of Southeastern Oklahoma were co-winners of offensive player honors for the Lone Star-North, the conference announced Sunday in Richardson, Texas.
