University of Mary football player dies after being found unconscious in dorm
BISMARCK, N.D. -- A 19-year-old University of Mary football player died early Sunday, about an hour after being found unconscious on a dormitory floor. The cause of death was not immediately known.
Authorities tried to revive Dusten Gailey by using CPR before taking him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 4 a.m.
Gailey was a freshman linebacker on the university's football team. University officials had contacted Gailey's family and an on-campus memorial service was being planned.
The University of Mary is a NAIA school with approximately 2,200 students.
