DENVER -- The Denver Broncos placed linebacker Ian Gold on injured reserve and signed cornerback Scott Turner on Tuesday.

Gold, 25, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Sunday's 17-14 win over Pittsburgh. He was second on the team in tackles and had two interceptions.

Turner, an eight-year veteran who played for Washington and San Diego, has five interceptions in 92 career games. He did not play last season and was waived by the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 31.

To make room, the Broncos waived cornerback Brandon Williams from the practice squad.

Also Tuesday, the Broncos signed fullback Kyle Johnson to the practice squad. Johnson, 22, was waived from the team in August and spent a week on the practice squad in September.
