Tucker has surgery on foot
MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin sophomore forward Alando Tucker had surgery to repair his fractured right foot and will miss at least eight weeks of practice.
The surgery, conducted Monday by team orthopedist Dr. John Orwin, was successful, but Tucker will miss eight to 10 weeks while he rehabilitates the foot.
The Badgers start practice Saturday and their first exhibition game is Nov. 8. The regular season begins Nov. 21.
Tucker played in all 32 games as a freshman, starting 27.
He finished the season third on the team in scoring at 12 points per game and was third in rebounding at 5.9. He was a member of the Big Ten's all-freshman team.
