Baylor cornerback leaves team
WACO, Texas -- Baylor cornerback Tyson Hampton, a junior from Sacramento, Calif., left the football team Tuesday, citing personal reasons, coach Guy Morriss said.
Hampton had started in three of the six games this season, making 11 tackles and one interception. Eight of his tackles were solo. He ranked ninth in the Big 12 in defending against the pass.
Hampton transferred to Baylor this year. He originally signed with the University of Hawaii after high school before attending American River Junior College.
