ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills receiver Eric Moulds will wait until Friday to test his groin injury to determine whether he can play Sunday against Washington.
Moulds was held out of Buffalo's practice on Wednesday, although his status was upgraded from doubtful to questionable, which means he has a 50-50 chance of playing.
The Bills' leading receiver was hopeful a few more days of rest will help and he would be able to play after missing last weekend's 30-3 loss to the New York Jets.
"It feels a lot better. It's feeling a lot stronger, and I'm to the point where I can move and cut and do a lot of things I've done before," Moulds said. "I feel pretty confident in it."
Moulds hasn't practiced since he was hurt in setting up the winning drive in Buffalo's 22-16 overtime victory against Cincinnati on Oct. 5. Moulds said he has a slight tear in his groin muscle. Coach Gregg Williams had called the injury a strain.
Moulds wore shorts and shoulder pads during Wednesday's practice, but did not take part in catching drills during the 20-minute period open to the media.
The Bills (3-3) sorely missed him last weekend when they managed only 193 yards against the Jets.
"It was tough to sit and watch us go through what we went through last week and not be able to help them." Moulds said. "It's frustrating, but that's why I'm working hard and hopefully things will work out."
Backup running back Sammy Morris practiced for the first time in more than three weeks since having surgery to repair a sports hernia. Morris is listed as questionable.
