Texas' Hastings out for season
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas senior forward Annissa Hastings will miss this season after rupturing her left Achilles' tendon.
The 6-foot-2 Hastings was injured Monday during an individual workout session. She is scheduled to have surgery Thursday.
"I am so disappointed that I will miss this season," Hastings said. "The only thing I can focus on now is to go through surgery and rehabilitation and get as healthy and strong as possible and return next year."
Hastings started 30 of her 80 career games, and averaged 13 minutes, 2.7 points and 3.7 rebounds.
