PITTSBURGH -- Mike Hilliard ran for three touchdowns and Niel Loebig threw for three more as Duquesne beat St. Peter's 39-7 on Saturday.

Duquesne (5-2, 4-0 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) fell behind early when Dan Holmes ran 2 yards for the game's first score, giving St. Peter's (0-7, 0-2) a 7-0 lead less than six minutes into the game.

St. Peter's tried to control the ball on the Dukes and might have fared better had Andre Harris not thrown three interceptions. Salvatore Aragone also fumbled a kick return for St. Peter's.

Hilliard led all rushers with 104 yards on 26 carries and scored on three short runs, while Duquesne held St. Peter's to a total of 99 yards on the ground on 40 carries.

Loebig likewise outshone his offensive counterparts. Loebig threw touchdown passes of 24 and 20 yards to Michel Warfield, and a 4-yarder to Dan Jameson, in piling up 336 yards on a 24-for-33 performance. Loebig also threw one interception.

Harris threw for just 165 yards for St. Peter's, completing 16 of 29 passes. Brandon Edmonds failed to complete all three passes he threw. Steven Taylor caught 8 Harris passes for 91 yards.

Warfield had a game-high 173 yards on eight catches for Duquesne and Randy Vulakovich had 10 catches for 111 yards.
