BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Eddie Acosta tied an NSIC career record with his 56th rushing touchdown to help Bemidji State crush Southwest State 41-3 Saturday.

Acosta finished the day with two touchdowns and 164 yards rushing on 29 carries for the Beavers, who are now 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the NSIC.

Southwest State's only score came on a 31-yard field goal by Eric Oldenkamp early in the third quarter.

Rob Fagnan was sacked three times and completed only seven passes on 23 attempts.

The Mustangs dropped to 2-6 and winless through five games in the conference. It was Bemidji's sixth consecutive win over Southwest State.

The Beavers finished with 315 offensive yards compared with Southwest State's 160.
