Ouachita 48, Ark.-Monticello 21
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- MontoyaBrown had 171 yards and scored two touchdowns as Ouachita Baptist defeated Arkansas-Monticello 48-21 Saturday.
With 11:43 to play in the first quarter,Brown ran 54 yards for the game's first touchdown. He added a 9-yard run in the third quarter.
Arkansas-Monticello answered with a 30-yard touchdown run by Cory Allred to tie the game at 7-7.
But Ouachita dominated after that. Josh Holcomb scored on a 26-yard run late in the first quarter.
Then, in the second, Chris Lammers' 7-yard touchdown pass to Donte Waldon capped a 12-play, 88-yard drive, making it 20-7 Ouachita at the half. Waldon also rushed 55 yards for a score later in the game.
Lammers added a 29-yard scoring pass to Andrew Fellows in the third.
Ouachita finished with 498 total offensive yards to Arkansas-Monticello's 511. The bulk of Arkansas-Monticello's were in the air, while Ouachita focused on the ground.
