AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Jeremiah Bonds and Johnny Keith scored two touchdowns each and Alabama A&M accumulated 11 sacks and came up with six turnovers as the Bulldogs overpowered winless Savannah State 41-0 on Saturday.
Bonds scored on runs of 16 and 3 yards and Keith on runs of 1 and 3 for the Bulldogs (5-3). It was the seventh loss of the season for the Tigers, who had five passes intercepted and lost one fumble, which was recovered in the end zone for a touchdown by Henry Roberson.
Savannah State has been outscored 302-18 this season.
Rashad Cyler accounted for the other A&M scoring with field goals of 27 and 28 yards.
The 11 sacks gave A&M 38 for the year and also left the Tigers with minus 6 yards rushing on 37 attempts.
Roberson's fumble recovery in the end zone opened the scoring with 6:35 left in the opening period. Jerald Harris had stripped the ball from Tiger quarterback Clyde Tullis in the end zone.
