BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Brad Nelson completed 18 of 26 passes for 338 yards and four touchdowns as South Dakota State University beat Minnesota State, Mankato 38-6 on Saturday night.
The Jackrabbits (3-4, 1-3 North Central Conference) rolled up 545 yards to gain their first conference victory of the season.
Minnesota State, Mankato (0-8, 0-4 NCC) made it on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when Chad Metelak connected with Kurt Sand on a 16-yard scoring pass.
For SDSU, Anthony Watson rushed 22 times for 187 yards, Solomon Johnson had five catches for 104 yards and one touchdown, and Josh Davis had six receptions for 94 yards and one touchdown.
Bobby Ruffin paced Mankato with 43 carries for 143 yards.
