Redskins RB Betts sidelined with broken forearm

ASHBURN, Virginia - Washington Redskins running back Ladell Betts likely will miss at least one game with a broken left forearm.

Betts suffered the injury after getting hit in the arm during the first half of Sunday's 24-7 loss at Buffalo.

Against the Bills, Betts was making his first career start in place of Trung Canidate, who missed the game with a sprained right ankle. Betts gained 11 yards on eight carries before getting injured.

It is uncertain if Betts will miss more than one game. The Redskins (3-4) have a bye this week and play at Dallas on November 2.

Without Canidate and Betts, return-specialist Chad Morton and Rock Cartwright received the bulk of the carries in the second half against the Bills.
