Carroll, Western players honored
BUTTE -- Emili Woody of Carroll College and Sam Riddle of Western Montana are the Frontier Conference basketball players of the week.
Woody, a 5-foot-10 sophomore from Summerville, Ore., averaged 14.6 points and 13 rebounds per game as Carroll defeated Fraser Valley, Lethbridge College and Southern Alberta on last week's Canadian excursion.
She hit 15 of 28 from the field, including a 3-pointer, and 13 of 17 from the line.
Riddle, 6-foot senior guard from Missoula, helped Montana-Western down Fraser Valley and Lethbridge College with 60 points in the two games. He scored 22 of 32 field goals, including 10 of 15 from 3-point-range, and six of eight free throws.
Riddle was a three-year starter for the Montana Grizzlies until he transferred to Western this year.
