Bears waive TE John Davis off PUP list
LAKE FOREST, Illinois - The Chicago Bears on Tuesday waived tight end John Davis after he failed his physical.
Davis was placed on the Bears' physically-unable-to-perform list on August 24 due to back and knee injuries.
Davis spent the last two seasons with the Bears and had a career-high 20 catches in 2002 despite missing six games.
The 6-4, 265-pound Davis played three years with Tampa Bay and one season with Minnesota before signing with the Bears in 2001.
