Razorbacks get ready for Ole Miss

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Arkansas Razorbacks moved some players around at Tuesday's practice to compensate for injured athletes ahead of Saturday's game at Ole Miss.

Arkansas running backs Cedric Cobbs and De'Arrius Howard were injured in Saturday's game, and it's unclear whether either will play this weekend.

Cobbs pulled a hamstring and De'Arrius Howard sprained an ankle.

Former tailback and current linebacker/defensive end Brandon Holmes worked in the offensive backfield, as did receiver DeCori Birmingham.

"We're working DeCori, Kyle Dickerson and Mark Pierce (at tailback) right now," coach Houston Nutt said. "We need a little insurance and Brandon has some experience."

The team had two days off before Tuesday's two-hour practice.

Overall, Nutt said he was pleased with the team's effort.

"The guys did a good job today," Nutt said. "We're a little banged up right now, and we need some guys to step up for us."

Kickoff is 6:15 p.m. at Oxford. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
