Bills add QB Fasani to practice squad
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Quarterback Randy Fasani was signed to Buffalo's practice squad as the Bills continue searching for a capable third-stringer.
Fasani was signed last weekend. The Bills confirmed the news on Wednesday.
Fasani was Carolina's fifth-round pick in the 2002 draft. Fasani appeared in four games, including one start, with the Panthers last season before being released by the team in August.
The Bills have played the season with only two quarterbacks -- Drew Bledsoe and backup Alex Van Pelt. Former third-stringer Travis Brown was released prior to the start of the season after dislocating a finger on his throwing hand.
To make room for Fasani, the Bills released quarterback Brandon Doman from their practice squad.
