Status of Gannon's health still uncertain
ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Rich Gannon's status for the Oakland Raiders' next game remained uncertain Wednesday after the team declined to release the results of tests on the MVP quarterback's bruised throwing shoulder.
Oakland coach Bill Callahan referred all questions about Gannon's MRI exam to the quarterback, but Gannon refused comment, instead directing reporters back to Callahan.
Callahan acknowledged that Gannon probably couldn't play if the Raiders, who are on their bye week, had a game Sunday.
Though last year's league MVP, the 37-year-old Gannon has stumbled along with the Raiders during the team's 2-5 start.
The Raiders next play Nov. 2 at Detroit.
