Taylor questionable; Mayberry surgery set for Wednesday
Taylor, who was injured in the season opener, thought the strain had recovered enough to allow him to play the rest of the season. But he aggravated the injury against the New York Giants.
Taylor didn't practice Friday and said he would be a gametime decision.
"I don't regret being out there for all those plays," said Taylor, who was in the game for 79 plays against the Giants. "Maybe if I had played less I'd feel a little bit different."
Also, Pro Bowl guard Jermane Mayberry will undergo reconstructive surgery Wednesday to replace a torn tendon in his left elbow.
Mayberry, who will miss the rest of the season, could also have Tommy John surgery for the ligament, if needed, Eagles head trainer Rick Burkholder said. That surgery replaces the stabilizing ligament in the elbow with another tendon from a wrist, back of an ankle or a hamstring.
