DULUTH, Minn. -- Dave Rufledt rushed for 219 yards and five touchdowns to lead Minnesota-Duluth past Concordia-St. Paul 56-33 in a high-scoring game Saturday.
Concordia (6-2, 5-1 NSIC) scored first on a 38-yard touchdown pass from James McNear to Wesley Hill. Duluth answered minutes later when Rufledt ran 15 yards for his first score.
Duluth (6-2, 4-1) scored four more touchdowns to make the score 35-7 at the end of the first half.
Tim Battaglia set a single-game reception record with 249 yards for the Bulldogs. He finished with two touchdowns on 10 receptions for Duluth.
James McNear completed 20 of 33 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Bears. McNear also rushed 18 times for 67 yards.
Duluth also got three touchdowns from Cash Langeness -- two passing and one rushing. He finished with 249 yards passing and 146 yards rushing.
