ALBANY, N.Y. -- Gary Jones rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns to lead Albany to a 40-7 victory over Stony Brook Saturday.
Jones scored on a 48-yard run in the first quarter and 38-yard run in the third. He also caught a 37-yard TD pass from Anthony Sciarra in the fourth. Jones had a career-high for rushing yards.
Sciarra also threw a 17-yard TD pass to Matt Crudo in the second quarter to put the Great Danes (5-3) ahead 13-0 at the half.
Jon George ran for a 4-yard touchdown in the third to increase Albany's lead to 27-0.
Stony Brook (3-4) scored its only touchdown of the game on an 11-yard pass from Paul Kelley to Josh Anderson.
Albany's Uli Delgado scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Albany outgained Stony Brook 538-254. T.J. Moriarty completed 6-of-18 passes for 81 yards for the Seawolves.
