GUTHRIE, Okla. -- Peru State's Lee Jennings intercepted a pass and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown to dash Langston's comeback hopes and win 24-6 on Saturday.
The Lions (1-6) were down 17-0 in the fourth quarter when Jamal Harley fielded a punt and returned it 49 yards for Langston's first touchdown.
Langston had possession late in the game but Jennings quashed the rally.
The defense also scored in the second quarter when Langston's punt was blocked and Michael King Jr. ran it back 25 yards for a score.
In addition to a 3-yard touchdown run, Andy Adams gave the Bobcats (6-3) three points with a 33-yard field goal.
T.J. Graham led Peru State with 12 carries for 45 yards, while quarterback Toby Henry hit 8-of-17 passes for 64 yards.
Ben Gamble led Langston with 12 carries for 40 yards.
The Lions have been playing their home games in Guthrie while their stadium is under renovation.
