Bethel, Minn. 41, Carleton 14

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Chris Evans rushed for two touchdowns as 14th-ranked Bethel trampled Carleton 41-14 Saturday.

The Royals scored 17 points in the first quarter on rushing touchdowns from Evans and Phil Porta and a 27-yard field goal by Paul Tschetter. Porta finished with 74 yards on 14 carries for the Royals (8-0, 6-0 MIAC).

Carleton's Erik Fisher ran 29 times for 133 yards and a touchdown in the third. The Knights remain winless (0-7, 0-7).

Scott Kirchoff completed 13 of 28 passes and finished with 172 yards passing and rushed for a touchdown in the fourth.

Jake Schnieder, Josh Holm, Jayson Nixon and Tom Kuehn all finished with a sack apiece for the Royals.
