MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg scored 14 points in the fourth quarter and got the game-winning touchdown on Ben Paul's 1-yard run to beat St. Thomas 17-14 Saturday.
Tony George completed 9 of 30 passes and finished with 139 yards passing and a touchdown for the Auggies (4-4, 4-3 MIAC). His 25-yard touchdown throw to Jamie Smith halfway through the fourth quarter pushed the Auggies to a 10-7 lead over the Tommies.
St. Thomas (3-5, 3-3) regained the lead when Kyle Sherwin threw a 6-yard pass to P.J. Theisen to make the score 14-10 in favor of the Tommies.
Paul's touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining in the game sealed the victory for Augsburg.
Justin Kostner carried the ball 23 times and gained 66 yards for St. Thomas.
