North Dakota 41, Minn.-Mankato 25
MANKATO, Minn. -- John Bowenkamp completed 20 of 27 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns to lead North Dakota past Minnesota State, Mankato 41-25 on Saturday.
Travis Lueck caught two touchdowns passes from Bowenkamp and finished with eight catches for 135 yards for the Fighting Sioux (7-1, 5-0 North Central Conference).
Ben King completed 11 of 20 passes for 224 yards and three scores for the Mavericks (0-9, 0-5).
The Fighting Sioux had 18 more first downs than the Mavericks and outrushed Mankato by 230 yards. Most of Mankato's attack came in the air, as the Mavericks finished with 239 yards passing.
North Dakota controlled the ball for more than 40 minutes, while Mankato had the ball for less than 20 minutes.
