Ark.-Monticello 35, Harding 21
MONTICELLO, Ark. -- Cory Allred was 24-of-38 for 390 yards and four touchdowns to lead Arkansas-Monticello to 35-21 win over Harding Saturday.
The Boll Weevils (3-5, 2-4 Gulf South Conference) led 14-0 at the half on a pair of Allred touchdown passes in the second quarter to Rodney Montgomery for 19 and 10 yards.
Dustin Coon made it 21-0 in the third with a 40-yard blocked punt return. Allred followed with a 76-yard TD pass to Shamar Brown.
Harding (4-3, 3-3) got on the board in the third on a pair of TD passes by Adam Lybrand, for 2 yards to David Feliciano and 23 yards to Demarcus Calhoun.
The Bison pulled within seven early in the fourth, making it 27-21 on a 5-yard TD pass from Lybrand to Calhoun. But the Boll Weevils put it away with 10:12 on Allred's fourth TD pass, for 7 yards to Devon Stewart.
Lybrand was 23-of-47 for 342 yards and two interceptions. He was sacked four times for losses of 27 yards.
Tyrone Bennett caught 9 passes for 96 yards and Shamar Brown caught five passes for 120 yards for the Boll Weevils.
