CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Muhammad Abdulqaadir, Tom Koutsos and Brandon Robinson led a balanced rushing attack as Southern Illinois beat Southwest Missouri State 20-6 Saturday.

Abdulqaadir carried 19 times for 84 yards on 19 carries, Koutsos had 74 yards on 14 carries and Robinson had 71 yards on six carries as the trio combined for 229 of the Salukis 281 total yards.

Robinson set the tone early, running 52 yards on the game's first play from scrimmage. That set up an Abdulqaadir touchdown run to give Southern Illinois (8-0, 4-0 Gateway Conference) the lead for good at 7-3.

On defense, the Salukis logged four sacks and gave up just 188 yards.

Cody Pratt had 138 yards rushing -- including 71 in the first quarter alone -- for Southwest Missouri State (3-4, 0-4).
